Dechra hosts exclusive CPD sessions at LVS

Dechra is hosting exclusive CPD sessions at the London Vet Show (LVS) focusing on the management of otitis externa and effective sedation in dogs.
The sessions take place in Gallery Suite 13 at LVS on Thursday 19th November and feature presentations by leading industry experts.
The first session - From consultation to resolution: how RVNs transform otitis outcomes - takes place between 11.20am and 12.10pm and will be presented by nurse specialist in dermatology at Bristol Vet Specialists, Dan White MSc BSc RVN VTS Dermatology NCert SAN C-SQP. It will focus on the important role that veterinary nurses play in supporting the diagnosis and management of otitis externa, from initial consultation through to ongoing patient care. The session will outline a structured nurse-led otitis consulation pathway, covering patient assessment, diagnostics, client communication and effective collaboration with the veterinary surgeon to help optimise patient outcomes and client compliance.
This will be followed by Dechra’s Calmer cases, better days; the Zenalpha effect panel discussion from 2.00pm to 2.50pm. The session will be facilitated by Geoff Duncan BVSc MRCVS, veterinary technical advisor at Dechra, and will feature Jo Murrell BVSc. (hons) PhD Dipl ECVAA MRCVS EBVS, consultant in anaesthesia and analgesia at Bristol Vet Specialists, and Louie Webber MRCVS, senior veterinary surgeon at Mobivet. The informal discussion will explore the impact of effective sedation in everyday practice and reveal how using Zenalpha can help turn challenging moments into smoother procedures, confident handling and better days in practice.
Delegates who attend either of Dechra’s sessions will be entered into a prize draw to win either a ticket to next year’s LVS or a one-year National Trust membership. The CPD sessions are available on a first come, first served basis and are expected to be well attended, so please get there early!
