Register for the first ‘Discover What’s New With Dechra’ webinar on 22nd January when we will be exploring the field of Feline Hyperthyroidism.
Feline Hyperthyroidism is a lifelong condition which requires careful understanding, the appropriate veterinary treatment and management by both vets and owners. As a veterinary professional you need to be certain that when the cat leaves your practice and goes home it’s medicine is being administered correctly. Is the required dose being given? Is it the only animal in contact with the medicine?
Presented by Anya Thurgood BVM&S MRCVS, Veterinary Technical Advisor at Dechra Veterinary Products, the webinar represents 1 hour certificated CPD.
Tuesday 22nd January 2019 - 19:00-20:00
Providing an overview of pain, including the consequences of poorly managed analgesia, this presentation will discuss how opioids work and the differences between a full mu agonist (e.g. methadone) and a partial mu agonist (e.g.buprenorphine).
With many practices moving towards the use of methadone for ‘routine’ procedures such as ovariohysterectomy, this presentation will also cover the wider use of Comfortan (methadone) and other opioids in practice.
