- Flat bottom bags give greater stability and improved shelf appearance
- The wet tray carton can also be used as a shelf ready display allowing the sale of singles as trial purchase for owners who only occasionally feed wet food
- Introduction of a 3 x 2 kg box allowing owners to make a large pack purchase but with the longer freshness of smaller bags

Fish and other marine ingredients are at the heart of SPECIFIC
SPECIFIC has been built around the unique nutritional benefits of fish, which means many diets within the specific range are rich in marine sourced omega-3 essential fatty acids EPA and DHA supporting healthy coat, skin and joints.
- Fish is naturally rich in omega-3 essential unsaturated fatty acids EPA and DHA that play a key role in coat and skin health, joint mobility, cardiac and kidney health, brain and eye development. It also promotes a strong immune system
- Fish contains the right type of omega-3 - The beneficial EPA and DHA forms of omega-3 unavailable in plant omega-3 which can only be obtained from fish and other marine sources
- Fish is a well-balanced protein with the right mix of amino acids for the body’s protein needs.
- Fish is a high quality protein, low in saturated fat and easily digested
- Fish and other marine ingredients are packed with vitamins D and B2 (riboflavin) supporting bone formation, nerve and muscle control and promoting coat and skin health

This year SPECIFIC has introduced Krill into its dry Special Care dog diets.

- Krill contains astaxanthin - a powerful antioxidant
- Krill contains choline
- Our Krill is caught in MSC and Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) approved fisheries
Improved Joint Support diet - CJD
- Added hydrolysed collagen peptides
- Total GAG levels unchanged but increased levels of chondroitin - replacing glucosamine, for better support of joints and mobility
- Added beta glucans
- Added krill - a superior form of omega-3 better incorporated into the body
Improved Endocrine Support diet - CED-DM
Improved Endocrine Suport diet CED-DM to better support diabetes mellitus
- Reduced carbohydrate levels
- Wheat replaced by slow release carbohydrates - oats, pea and lentil
- More soluble and fermentable fibre sources to retard the digestion of carbohydrates and to support a healthy gastrointestinal microbiome
- Support for the associated condition of pancreatitis through moderate fat level, and relatively high levels of omega-3 fatty acids
- A mixture a natural antioxidants, including fruit extracts, to help neutralize reactive oxygen species
- Omega-3 fatty acids from krill, algae and fish for support of the natural anti-inflammatory process and support of insulin sensitivity.
